The molds are 3D printed from durable PETG material suitable for repeated casting.

- Suitable for standard bagged concrete.
- Common bagged concrete usually has a density between 2000 and 2350 kg/m³.
- Suitable for hobby, rapid-setting and high-strength concrete.
- The mold volume is calculated for the stated finished weight.
Reinforced Concrete Molds
For heavier fishing weights made with steel filings.
2700 kg/m³ Recommended reinforced mixture density
- Designed for concrete mixed with steel filings.
- Common bagged concrete usually has a density between 2000 and 2350 kg/m³ before steel filings are added.
- Steel filings increase the density of the final mixture.
- The mold volume is calculated for a reinforced concrete mixture with a density of approximately 2700 kg/m³.
Concrete Used During Our Testing
For testing our molds, we used B30 bagged concrete with a maximum aggregate size of 4 mm .
For reinforced concrete molds, steel filings are added to the concrete mixture to achieve a density of approximately 2700 kg/m³.

Making your own fishing weights is simple. Prepare the mold, fill it with the correct mixture and allow it to harden.

Coat the Mold with Oil
Apply form release oil or ordinary cooking oil before every use. This is necessary for easy removal of the finished fishing weight.

Fill It with the Correct Mixture
Use standard concrete or the recommended reinforced concrete mixture according to the selected mold.

Remove the Finished Weight
Once the mixture has hardened sufficiently, carefully open the mold and remove the finished fishing weight.

Everything You Need to Get Started
Follow our illustrated instructions and learn how to prepare the mold, mix the concrete and create your own fishing weights.
- Coat the mold with oil before every use.
- Use the mixture recommended for the selected mold.
- Fill the mold carefully and completely.
- Allow the mixture to harden sufficiently.
- Carefully remove the finished fishing weight.
- Clean the mold after use and store it dry.
Important Notice
To remove the finished fishing weight easily, the mold must be coated with oil before every use.
Professional form release oils are commonly used. For home casting, ordinary cooking oil can also be used.

Can the mold be used repeatedly?
Yes. The PETG mold is reusable when handled carefully, cleaned after use and coated with oil before every casting.
What type of concrete should I use?
Common bagged concrete can be used. Our standard concrete molds are calculated for a mixture density of approximately 2100 kg/m³. During testing, we used B30 concrete with a maximum aggregate size of 4 mm.
Do you also offer molds for reinforced concrete?
Yes. We also offer molds specifically calculated for reinforced concrete mixtures with a density of approximately 2700 kg/m³. These mixtures are made from bagged concrete combined with steel filings.
Will the finished weight have the stated weight?
Yes. When the correct procedure is followed and our recommended materials are used, the finished fishing weight will have the stated final weight. Each mold is precisely calculated for its specific weight.
Do I need to coat the mold with oil?
Yes. The mold must be coated with oil before every use. This is necessary for easy removal of the finished concrete weight.
Is concrete included with the mold?
No. The product contains the reusable PETG mold. Concrete, steel filings and other casting materials are not included unless stated otherwise on the individual product page.
